Identify and secure new business opportunities across the UK, particularly in the rail sector.
Negotiate and close high-value deals, including six-figure orders.
Build and maintain relationships with key customers.
Develop sales strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
Manage sales pipelines, forecasts and performance targets.
Attend industry events and monitor market trends in rail, construction and energy.
Share market insights and sales reports with UK and German colleagues.
Manage the entire sales process, from initial contact to closing deals.
Travel extensively across the UK to meet customers.
Requirements
- Proven experience in winning new business and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong technical knowledge and the ability to explain product value.
- Good commercial awareness, including profit margins, cost of goods sold and profit and loss (P&L).
- Excellent sales forecasting, negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the UK and occasionally abroad.
- Flexibility with working hours and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Experience in rail, technical sales, electrical engineering, electrical components, manufacturing or a start-up/scale-up is desirable.
