Driving Requirements: Strongly preferred

Salary: Up to £21.00 gross per hour (day shifts £18.00 weekdays / £20.00 weekends; waking nights £20.00 weekdays / £21.00 weekends)

Essential: Professional childcare experience; confident supporting a young girl with physical disabilities and using equipment such as hoists (training provided)

Desirable: Experience supporting children with additional or complex needs; suctioning, chest physiotherapy, PEG feeding, epilepsy, dystonia, postural management, medication administration, AAC/Eye Gazing communication

Start Date: August 2026 (interviews and shadow shifts in June/July)

Days: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday; Saturday waking night 8.00 pm–8.00 am; additional ad‑hoc shifts available

Pets in Home: One much‑loved cat

Accommodation Provided: Carer’s office with comfortable chair, desk, kettle, coffee machine, microwave, fridge and snack cupboard

About the Child: Lily, 5, is a determined and affectionate little girl who loves cuddles, bubbles, swimming, bathtime, switch toys and interaction with the people around her. She communicates through eye gaze, vocalisations, facial expressions and body language. Lily has cerebral palsy with dystonia, epilepsy, PEG feeding requirements, respiratory vulnerabilities and visual and hearing impairments.

Responsibilities: This hands‑on role focuses on supporting Lily’s therapies, rehabilitation and daily care while ensuring she enjoys fun, engaging activities. Duties include personal care, PEG feeds, medication administration, stretches, communication support, respiratory care, observation, repositioning and respiratory support during waking nights. You’ll work closely with her parents, support team and therapists.

Qualifications: Professional childcare experience; confidence in supporting a child with physical disabilities and using hoists; experience with complex care needs (suctioning, chest physiotherapy, PEG feeding, epilepsy, dystonia, medication administration, postural management, AAC/Eye Gaze communication) is desirable.
