What is the role?
- Supporting children in all aspects of their daily lives
- Helping them develop and maintain positive relationships with friends and family
- Encouraging social activity by attending events and activities, boosting confidence and independence
- Building strong relationships to make a difference in their lives
- Safeguarding children by monitoring and reporting any suspicion or evidence of harm, ensuring care plans are followed and updated
- Performing basic housekeeping duties when children are not in the home
- Engaging in other activities such as watching movies, reading, crafts, outings and walks to keep children active and happy

What do we look for?
- Experience in a similar role or personal experience supporting a friend or family member (required)
- A full UK manual driving licence

- A Children’s Residential Level 3 qualification is desirable but not essential
- Flexibility to work day shifts (e.g., 8 am‑10 pm) and sleep‑ins (10 pm‑7 am), with occasional weekend rotations

- Starting rate of £12.36 to £13.31 per hour, depending on qualifications and location
- £78.30 for every sleep‑in; full‑time staff can earn up to £7,500 per year from sleep‑ins alone
- Comprehensive training, including a two‑week paid induction and shadow shifts with senior staff
- Full sponsorship for a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential Care (≈£3,000), leading to a higher hourly rate
