Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated male Support Worker willing to provide person‑centred care to adults with autism, learning disabilities, mental health issues and challenging behaviour in their homes. This role is part of the Accordia Supported Living Service and offers training, career progression and competitive benefits.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients in their homes with daily living activities and support needs.
- Provide person‑centred, compassionate care and support to adults with autism and learning challenges.
- Apply knowledge of challenging behaviour and risk management in care planning.
- Participate in the Positive Behavioural Support clinical team and weekly reviews.
- Maintain accurate care records and report incidents as required.
Requirements
- Male candidate only due to legitimate occupational necessity (Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act).
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health issues and challenging behaviour.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team.
- Strong moral and person‑centred approach.
- Ability and willingness to work shifts covering the service’s requirements.
- Commitment to professional and personal growth.
- Ready to work with individuals that exhibit difficult and occasionally dangerous behaviours.
- Resident within commuting distance of Spalding; valid driver’s licence and personal vehicle required.
