We are seeking a vibrant and experienced Front-of-House Manager to lead our hospitality team and deliver great customer service in a fast‑paced restaurant setting. The successful candidate will have excellent management skills, a love for food and beverage service, and a solid track record in restaurant operations. This position is responsible for managing day‑to‑day front‑of‑house operations, supervising personnel, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and creating a pleasant environment for customers. Previous casual dining, fine dining, or hotel management experience is a big plus. The Front of House Manager will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and cultivating a pleasant team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate front‑of‑house workers to ensure efficient service delivery
- Maintain food preparation, presentation, and service standards to satisfy quality expectations
- Operate POS systems for order processing & cash handling
- Train personnel in food safety, customer service, and operational procedures
- Manage inventory control and support food management to reduce waste and control expenses
- Respond to guest enquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner to improve guest satisfaction
- Oversee shift management to ensure adequate staffing during peak periods
- Maintain the cleanliness of the dining space and the orderly appearance in accordance with health standards
- Assist with hiring, interviewing, and onboarding of new team members
- Work with Kitchen Management on food preparation, catering, and banquet events, and bar services
- Adhere to all food safety requirements and sanitation protocols in all front‑of‑house operations
- Assist in budgeting and tracking operating costs connected to the front‑of‑house
Certifications:
- Demonstrated experience in managing restaurants or hospitality management positions, ideally in casual dining or fine dining settings
- Proven leadership skills with experience in staff training & development, supervision and team management
- Experience with Aloha POS and Micros POS is a plus. Must have cash‑handling experience
- Food safety regulations and food handling procedures knowledge
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to address issues in an effective manner
- Experience in inventory control, food manufacturing, catering, and banquet services preferred
- Ability to manage shift patterns effectively whilst delivering high standards of service
- Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary operation is helpful, but not required
- Strong communication skills, ability to interview, teach, inspire personnel, and encourage teamwork
- Hospitality and/or hotel experience a plus; culinary and/or food sector experience a plus
