Join the Outpatients Department at Princess Elizabeth Hospital as a Senior Orthopaedic Practitioner. The role includes management responsibilities for the plaster room staff and delivery of casting and splinting services across a diverse patient group via referrals throughout HSC.

Responsibilities

  • Manage staff within the plaster room, prioritise workload and delegate tasks under the guidance of the Outpatient Manager.
  • Deliver casting and splinting services to a wide and varied patient group.
  • Skilled application and removal of casts and braces, including complex theatre applications such as scoliosis jackets and hip spicas.
  • Provide optimum quality of care and support to the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
  • Practice in accordance with HSC standards and statutory requirements.

Qualifications

  • British Casting Certificate.
  • Continual CPD in relevant clinical areas.
  • Teaching and assessing qualification (desirable).
