We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to provide compassionate support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring the wellbeing of clients, and supporting care plans. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support the implementation of individualised care plans under supervision
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure high-quality care
- Support clients with medication reminders and basic health monitoring
- Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings when necessary
- Ensure a safe and clean environment adhering to health and safety regulations
Experience
- Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of care plans and basic IT systems for record keeping is advantageous
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate client transportation or errands
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when required
