Icknield Court care facility is ideally situated close to the town core of Princes Risborough and is easily reached from High Wycombe. The facility offers a comfortable, modern living environment with 90 individual rooms spread across six independent wings. Residents have ample facilities and outdoor areas for social activities, and they can bring personal belongings to create a cosy feel in their rooms.

As Deputy Home Manager you will work alongside the Home Manager to oversee the care home. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Planning rota schedules and managing staff recruitment.
  • Introducing new staff and providing necessary training.
  • Ensuring residents’ needs are recognised, assessed and met where feasible.
  • Monitoring and managing employee performance to maintain high standards.
  • Resolving issues through proper channels and supporting smooth operations.

Qualifications:

  • Level 4 or 5 in health and social care, or equivalent.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Previous management experience in an elderly care setting.
  • Marketing and finance skills to assist with occupancy and cost management.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • A commitment to promoting and improving the highest standards of care.
