The predicted salary is between 14.56 - 14.56 £ per hour.
We have two part-time vacancies in Paisley. One is a 28-hour post (4 days × 7 hours) and the other a 21-hour post (3 days × 7 hours). Both positions require the ability to work these hours over a 7-day shift rota. Ideally, you should have a Health and Social Care background and experience working with people with complex learning disabilities.
You will be expected to create environments where the people we support can develop interests, skills, and relationships to enable them to live fulfilling lives in their local community. The job is hard work but extremely rewarding.
Responsibilities- Work with our people to create a friendly and happy environment
- Provide physical and emotional support
- Understand the individual needs and offer guidance
- Encourage and help develop skills
- Assist with medical and welfare needs
- Provide personal care if required
- Attend reviews to discuss health and well-being
- Accompany individuals on outings
- Liaise with relatives and staff members
- Maintain a safe and clean place to live
- Willing to undertake SVQ qualification and attend all training
- Able to show compassion, dignity and respect
- Understand and consider the needs of others
- Must be a good listener
- Excellent communicator – written and oral
- Experience of working with people with complex learning disabilities is an advantage but not essential – we offer excellent induction and ongoing training for all staff
- Ideally have SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care
- A driving licence would also be desirable

We provide personalised accommodation and support services for people throughout Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire, in a wide variety of settings and types of input from 24/7 to a few hours per week. Benefits- A pay rate of at least £13.45 per hour, increasing to at least £14.56 per hour after 3 years of service (starting rate is negotiable based on experience)
- 4 weeks annual leave entitlement, increasing to 5 weeks after 10 years of service
- 12 days paid public holidays (based on a 38-hour working week)
- 5% Employer Pension Contribution on your full basic salary
- Enhanced sick pay of 4 weeks full and 4 weeks half pay
- Enhanced maternity pay of 12 weeks at half pay (after statutory 6 weeks at 90%)
