We are looking to add a caring and committed Support Worker to our team. The ideal applicant will guarantee the well‑being and improve the quality of life of those in need by offering crucial help. Working directly with clients, this position provides assistance with personal care, companionship, and emotional support, among other areas of daily living. It is crucial that we have a strong commitment to helping people we assist become independent and dignified.

Duties

  • Assist with personal care tasks like dressing, grooming, and bathing.
  • Assist customers with everyday tasks such as cooking, taking medications, and cleaning the house.
  • Provide emotional support and company to improve clients’ mental health.
  • Help customers with particular needs and behaviour control techniques.
  • Keep thorough notes of clients’ progress and notify the proper professionals of any changes in their condition.
  • As needed, accompany clients to social events or appointments.
  • Maintain a clean and safe atmosphere for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Work together with medical specialists to provide individualized, high‑quality care.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of prior experience providing patient care, home care, or supported living.
  • NVQ Levels 2 and 3.
  • Familiarity with first aid protocols is ideal.
  • Knowledge about senior care procedures or hospice care is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients.
  • Current driver’s licence is preferred (not required).
  • Empathy and patience in challenging situations.
  • Relevant health and social care credentials are advantageous.
  • Dedication to continual training in behaviour management methods and professional development.
