With support from Y Combinator, Selfin is a covert fintech business creating the first AI bank. We are now searching for individuals who have the guts to start from scratch and the intelligence to complete the project successfully.
About the Position
- We are currently seeking extremely driven Software Founding Engineers to work with us in San Francisco on the frontend, backend, and AI components of the product.
Duties
- AI/LLM: prompt engineering, fine‐tuning, and LLM training (o4/5, Claude)
- Backend: Python, API integration, and cloud infrastructure (GC)
- Frontend: HTML, CSS, Java Script, Flutter, Swift (iOS)
- Assist in creating scalable, safe financial data systems
- Work closely with the founders to determine the direction of technology and products.
- Move quickly and on your own; this is not a limited job.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree in computer science or a related engineering field from a prestigious university
- Proficiency in Python and practical knowledge of LLMs or GenAI tools
- Willing to work on‐site in London or San Francisco (US/UK visas sponsored)
- Extra credit for publications, side projects, hackathons, and startup experience
- People who are eager to take on genuine responsibility from the start
Payment >$100K in compensation (based on experience and talents) plus equity
