To act as the Ofsted Registered Manager for a 2-bed residential children’s home for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties, ensuring the service is fully compliant with all legislative and regulatory requirements, particularly the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations and Quality Standards 2015. The post holder will be responsible for the effective development and delivery of high-quality residential care that improves outcomes for children, young people, and their families.
This includes the leadership and management of the staff team, ensuring that they work effectively with children, families, and partner agencies, and that all statutory duties under relevant childcare legislation and standards are met. The Manager will ensure that services are planned and delivered in a way that maximises children’s participation, promotes their welfare, and reflects their rights in all aspects of the care provided.
- Lead and manage a two-bed children’s home for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Ensure the home meets all legal, regulatory, and Ofsted requirements.
- Supervise, support, and develop the staff team so they provide safe, high-quality care.
- Plan and oversee day-to-day care that improves outcomes for children and involves families and professionals.
- Manage safeguarding, health and safety, records, and budgets in line with organisational policies.
