As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will join our team supporting service users in their homes in Epsom, Surrey. Accordia staff benefit from great career progression, sector-leading professional training, and great job stability.
We specialise in providing person-centred care for adults with a forensic mental health background, challenging behaviour, learning disabilities, and autism to enable them to play a meaningful part within their community. You will be responsible for the delivery of outstanding care to the people we support. We are looking for motivated individuals who want a rewarding role as part of a service that makes a difference.
Our flagship supported living service on Reigate Road is an 8-minute walk from Ewell East train station and has on-site parking.
Requirements
- Experience working with people with mental health, autism, challenging behaviours, and learning disabilities
- Experience using restraint or willingness to be trained to use restraint
- Ability to work alone with confidence and as part of a wider team
- Strong values and person-centred approach
- Must be able to work shifts to meet the needs of the service
- Enthusiastic, resilient, energetic, and proactive
- Capability to engage in physical activity with the person they will be supporting (biking, fishing, swimming, etc.)
- Enthusiastic and creative to provide the best person-centred support possible
- A commitment to personal and professional development
- Resilience and drive to overcome challenges
- Empathy for the people you are supporting
- Passion about supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism
- Prepared to work with people who present with challenging and, in some cases, risky behaviours

Desirable
- Experience in forensic mental health, supported living, or residential settings
- Evidence of NVQ qualification in social care or Care Certificate (training can be provided)
- Knowledge of diabetes or experience working with individuals with diabetes (training can be provided)
- Full UK valid driving licence
- Live within a 30‐minute commute/drive to Epsom
