We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in home care environments. Your primary focus will be on assisting individuals with daily living activities while ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.

Duties

  • Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support individuals in maintaining their daily routines and adhering to care plans.
  • Monitor and document patients’ health status, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for patients.
  • Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving patients as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in home care or a similar healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Strong IT skills for maintaining patient records and documentation.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
  • Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
  • A valid Full UK Driving licence is mandatory.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to empathise with patients’ needs.
  • Work authorisation in the United Kingdom is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel 100% of the time is preferred.
