An opportunity has arisen for a band 4 Generic Therapy Technical Instructor to work within Ty Croes Atti Discharge to Recover and Assess Unit (D2RA). Ty Croes Atti aims to provide a 24‑hour approach to rehab, promoting independence and assessing a service‑user’s care and rehab needs with the ultimate goal of returning home.
We are looking for a motivated, hard‑working, proactive individual who will be able to work alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, other TIs and Support Workers. The role sits within the Flintshire Unscheduled Care Team, where we value the importance of continuing professional development and peer support. The successful candidate will be supported with supervision, appraisals and identifying learning opportunities and training.
Main duties of the job:
- Gather baseline information to assist the Therapy Assessments.
- Carry out therapeutic interventions following initial assessments carried out by the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist.
- Interventions include progression of transfers and mobility, delivery of exercise programmes including exercise classes and practicing activities of daily living such as washing and dressing, and meal preparation.
- Work independently to promote wellbeing, safety and independence within essential activities of daily living, by providing instruction, advice and treatment to the service‑user and/or their carers.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
