It is also ideal to have prior experience in hospice care, dementia care, or senior care. This position provides the chance to work in a professional and encouraging setting while significantly improving people’s lives.
Duties of a Live-in Carer:
- Help clients with everyday tasks like clothing, grooming, bathing, and mobility assistance.
- Give people with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other cognitive impairments specific care.
- Encourage the administration of medications in accordance with recommended procedures.
- Make wholesome meals based on dietary needs and tastes.
- Involve clients in worthwhile pursuits to enhance their mental and emotional health.
- Use appropriate behaviour management strategies and patience to handle behavioural issues.

Requirements:
- Only female carers – prior experience in home care, assisted living, or nursing homes required.
- Understanding of patient care procedures, including those related to physical disability and dementia.
- First aid and medicine delivery certification or training required.
- Capacity to assist with mobility support and carry out heavy lifting when necessary.
- Valid driving licence with a spotless record for transportation duties.
- Outstanding communication abilities combined with a compassionate and understanding attitude.
- Ability to work different shifts, such as days, nights, or weekends, as needed.
- Capacity to operate both individually and in a multidisciplinary group.
