Salary & Hours
- Salary: £12.82 an hour (Overtime rate: £13.32 an hour)
- Hours: 48 hours a week, with 12‑hour shifts
About the Role
We focus on giving people with a forensic mental health background, challenging behaviour, learning disabilities, and autism person‑centred care so they may be active members of their community. You will be in charge of giving the people we help great care.
What You Need
- Experience working with persons who have mental health issues, autism, difficult behaviours, or learning disabilities
- People who have used restraint or would be okay with learning how to apply it
- Can work alone with confidence and be part of a larger team
- A strong set of ideals and a focus on the individual
- Must be able to work shifts to suit the needs of the service
- People who are eager, strong, full of energy, and take the initiative
- People who can go bicycling, fishing, swimming, and do other physical activities with the individual they will be helping
- To give the finest person‑centred assistance, you need to be excited and innovative
- A promise to grow both personally and professionally
- Strength and determination to get through tough times
- The ability to understand and show empathy for the people you are helping
- Be passionate in helping adults with autism and learning challenges
- Be ready to work with people who act in ways that are hard to deal with and sometimes dangerous

Desirable Experience and Qualifications
- Have worked in a forensic mental health, assisted living, or residential environment before
- Can show proof of NVQ qualification in social care or a Care Certificate; training can be given
- Have a basic grasp of diabetes or have worked with people who have it; training can be provided
- Have a valid full UK driving licence
- Live within 30 minutes of Epsom via train or car
