Work Wales has an exciting new Part‑Time Care Manager position. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Manager to oversee the delivery of high‑quality care within an assisted living setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and extensive experience in senior care. This role involves managing a care team, developing personalised care plans, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
Duties
- Lead and supervise care staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional person‑centred care
- Develop, implement, and regularly review individualised care plans tailored to residents’ needs
- Oversee medication administration in accordance with healthcare regulations and best practices
- Monitor residents’ health status and coordinate with healthcare professionals as needed
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and organisational policies related to care provision
- Provide leadership in dementia and Alzheimer’s care programmes, ensuring specialised support is delivered effectively
- Facilitate training programmes for staff on topics such as dementia care, medication management and health & safety procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident records and care activities
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and external healthcare providers to promote holistic wellbeing
Experience
- Proven experience working within assisted living
- Extensive knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer’s care techniques and best practices
- Demonstrable management or supervisory experience within a care home or home care setting
- Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and healthcare regulations
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in developing and managing personalised care plans for diverse resident needs
- Familiarity with legal requirements surrounding eldercare, including safeguarding procedures
