We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Paediatric Audiologist who would like to train to specialise in paediatrics and join our friendly audiology team. The training role includes both practical training and completion of a Master’s level education in this specialist area. This role offers the opportunity to practice other aspects of audiology alongside its paediatric focus and develop leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Train and develop expertise in paediatric assessment and rehabilitation.
- Develop other clinical interests, including tinnitus and vestibular services.
- Potential line management responsibilities and opportunities to lead innovative projects.
- Support the service leads in day‑to‑day organisation of the audiology service.
- Support the Advanced Audiologist/Clinical Scientist with VMHA programme completion.
- Support the audiology quality lead in maintaining UKAS accreditation.
- Provide teaching and training within scope of practice.
- Maintain high‑quality independent reports and consistent national standards compliance.
Qualifications
- BAAT I and II or BSc Audiology qualification.
- Significant NHS experience.
- HCPC or RCCP registration.
- Completion of a Master’s level qualification (or in progress).
Training & Development
- Training period not to exceed 2 years.
- Opportunity to act as an autonomous practitioner within own scope of practice.
- Further professional development and leadership training.
