Description
- Support the Catering Management Team in delivering efficient and effective catering services at Ysbyty Gwynedd.
- Help lead and coordinate chefs and cooks to provide high-quality meals for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Work operational shifts as part of the Food Production Team.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and health and safety standards.
- Support service improvements and contribute to the development of catering operations.
- Assist with or lead specific catering projects and tasks.
- Promote teamwork and maintain high standards of food preparation and service.
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Professional Cookery.
- Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Food Production, with good practical knowledge and skills.
- Experience working in a catering department.
- Flexibility to work operational shifts.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and health and safety practices.
- Passion for cooking and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Desirable: Level 4 qualification in Managing Food Safely.
- Desirable: Experience managing or supervising staff.
- Desirable: Experience running a busy kitchen.
- Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential; English and Welsh speakers are welcome.
- Must undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
