University Hospitals Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic Consultant Radiologist with a specialist interest in Paediatric Radiology to join our Imaging Department. This is an exciting opportunity to develop paediatric imaging services within one of the UK’s largest NHS Trusts whilst contributing significantly to a busy adult general radiology service.
The successful candidate will support paediatric inpatient, outpatient and emergency imaging pathways, working closely with paediatricians, neonatologists, paediatric surgeons and safeguarding teams. Responsibilities include neonatal imaging, participation in non-accidental injury (NAI) pathways and multidisciplinary team working.
This is not a standalone paediatric radiology post. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute fully to the adult general radiology service and must be competent in acute adult imaging practice. The role includes participation in duty radiologist activities, acute CT and MRI reporting, adult ultrasound, multidisciplinary meetings and the consultant on-call rota.
