We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant who is kind and committed to their work.
In this role you will help patients in a number of settings, such as care homes and home care settings.
Your main duties include assisting patients with everyday tasks while ensuring they are comfortable and healthy.
Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others are essential.
Responsibilities
- Help patients with personal care duties such as washing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist patients in following daily routines and care plans.
- Monitor patients’ health, record changes, and communicate them to the healthcare team.
- Provide company and emotional support to improve patients’ quality of life.
- Facilitate transportation, including driving patients when required.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for staff and patients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to meet all patient needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or a comparable healthcare setting.
- Proficient IT skills for keeping medical records and paperwork up to date.
- Strong English speaking and writing skills for clear communication with patients and the team.
- Understanding and ability to follow care plans accurately.
- Full UK driving licence (required).
- Excellent people skills and the ability to understand patient needs.
