We are seeking to recruit a Teaching Assistant in Skipton and the surrounding North Yorkshire area, ideally with experience in a primary school setting. The successful candidate would ideally possess experience in a primary setting, demonstrate a strong understanding of the English language, both written and spoken, have the ability to work efficiently as part of a team, and have an understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
Responsibilities:
- Create a welcoming and inspiring learning atmosphere
- Work closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure that each student receives the support they need
- Help teachers deliver engaging lessons while promoting and supporting positive behaviour in the classroom
- Provide one‑on‑one or small group assistance, ensuring they feel understood and supported
- Lead learning activities when required
