Location: Runcorn, Cheshire, WA7 2FQ
Salary/Rate: £14.62 to £16.15 per hour
Hays Recruitment is supporting a single‑form entry primary school in Runcorn. We are looking for a motivated and experienced teaching assistant to join the KS1 cohort on a long‑term part‑time basis (5 mornings 8:30 am‑1 pm). The role involves supporting a female pupil on a 1:1 basis, providing intensive speech and language interventions and therapy, and helping with classroom and resource provision.
Responsibilities
- Use PECS and Makaton to support speech and language development.
- Lead on speech and language interventions and therapy.
- Support during break and lunch times.
- Integrate the pupil into new pupil groups and activities.
Qualifications
- Right to work in the UK.
- Minimum 40 days referenceable classroom experience within the last 2 years.
- Experience supporting SEN, speech and language requirements.
- Experience using PECS and Makaton.
- ELKLAN training is advantageous.
