We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Rehabilitation Assistant to support an individual with cerebral palsy in a home-based setting. This role focuses on promoting independence and quality of life through personalised, person-centred support.
Working Hours (4‑week rolling rota)
- Week 1 – 20 hours
- Week 2 – 21 hours
- Week 3 – 23 hours
- Week 4 – 20 hours
Total Monthly Hours: 84 hours
Key Responsibilities
- Support mobility, positioning, and daily routines in line with care plans.
- Assist with physiotherapy exercises and encourage participation in everyday activities.
- Provide personal care where required, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
- Offer emotional support and companionship, helping to build confidence.
- Monitor and record any changes, maintain clear documentation, and support communication with family and professionals.
- Assist with light household tasks, meal preparation, and attend appointments or social activities.
Requirements
- A valid UK driving licence is required.
- Previous experience in care or support work is desirable but not essential.
- Good communication and IT skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A patient, reliable, and respectful approach is essential.
