Teaching Assistants – Hemel Hempstead | Immediate & September Starts
Are you a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to make a positive difference in a school setting? Do you enjoy supporting children’s learning and wellbeing?
Magisters is currently recruiting dedicated Teaching Assistants to work across primary and secondary schools in Hemel Hempstead and the surrounding areas.
The Role
- Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
- Position: Teaching Assistant (TA / LSA / SEN TA)
- Type: Full-time or part-time – flexible opportunities available
- Start Dates: Immediate and September starts available
- Pay: Competitive hourly/daily rates; £80 – £100/day
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting teachers in the classroom to deliver engaging lessons.
- Working one-to-one or in small groups with pupils who need additional support.
- Assisting pupils with SEND, SEMH, or behavioural needs (experience welcomed).
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
- Supporting with classroom preparation and learning resources.
- Supervising pupils during break times and school activities.
About You
- Previous experience working with children or young people (school experience preferred).
- Passionate about supporting pupils’ learning and development.
- Patient, reliable, and proactive approach.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection (training provided if needed).
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
