At easyHotel we are inventing a new breed of affordable and low-carbon hotels. Our mission is to enable more people to travel differently, by offering low-cost, low-carbon hotels for everyone; hotels that are simple to book, simple to use and city-focused; hotels that are designed for both those travelling on a budget and those who prefer to save money on their hotel so they can spend on the best of the city.
We are present in 11 countries with 49 hotels, but our goal is to increase our presence in Europe, especially in France, Spain and Portugal.
We are currently seeking a Social Media & Content Executive to join the team at our London Support Office, located in Victoria, two minutes from the station. This is a brand new role, which presents a really exciting opportunity to strengthen our online brand presence by creating high-quality, engaging content tailored for social media and digital channels. You’ll be responsible for growing brand awareness through scroll-stopping content across our social media channels, helping to drive more direct bookings and support new hotel launches across Europe. There will be some work across B2B by showcasing easyHotel’s development credentials to help attract new hotel opportunities.
Our ideal candidate will be a hands-on and resourceful, confident liaising with a range of stakeholders and comfortable with shifting priorities.
Your primary responsibilities will be:
- Content Calendar Management: Plan and manage a content calendar aligned with key campaigns, hotel openings, and business objectives.
- Content Creation: Develop and edit engaging, highquality content (written, visual, and video) for social media, email campaigns and digital campaigns.
- Community Engagement: Oversee daily activity across social platforms, ensuring consistent brand messaging, timely responses, and audience engagement.
- Hotel Launch Support: Create and manage content strategies to promote new hotel openings across owned and partner channels.
- Influencer Management: Identify, engage, and manage relationships with influencers and content creators to amplify easyHotel’s brand presence, drive authentic audience engagement, and support key campaigns and hotel launches.
- Development Team Support: Craft compelling content to highlight easyHotel’s achievements, attracting potential partners and supporting pipeline growth for B2B audiences.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay informed on industry trends, platform updates, and emerging social media opportunities to keep content fresh and relevant.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, external agencies, and partners to ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and business goals.
- Performance Analytics: Track and analyse content performance, providing regular reports with actionable insights for optimisation.
- CrossFunctional Support: Provide support to the marketing and commercial teams across various projects and initiatives as needed, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and contributing to team success.
- Leadership: While you won’t manage a team directly, you’ll act as the goto expert for hotel teams across Europe, guiding and inspiring them to capture authentic, on-the-ground content that brings the easyHotel brand to life on social media.
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent spoken English, with fluency in French or Spanish or experience in social media marketing across European markets.
- 2 plus years’ of social media experience
- Agency experience (working across multiple accounts)
- Organic and Paid content experience
- Resourceful, entrepreneurial
- Travel/hospitality social experience would be an advantage
- A degree in comms, media or marketing
- Handson and “doer” profile; operational bias
- Comfortable with shifting priorities
- The role is based in the UK, but our ideal candidate will have some experience in European markets
