About the Role:
We’re looking for a hands-on Accounts Assistant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of a fast-moving, entrepreneurial business within a small team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in keeping financial processes running efficiently and accurately.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Processing revenue and costs invoices accurately and efficiently by matching them to purchase orders.
- Managing supplier accounts, including reconciliations and query resolution, and managing supplier payments.
- Assisting with sales ledger, including raising invoices and credit control, and supporting credit control activities.
- Performing daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end processes.
- Maintaining accurate records within accounting systems.
- Supporting expense processing and internal reporting.
- Helping improve processes and drive efficiencies where possible.
Essential:
- Right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
- 3 years’ experience in an accounts role.
- Qualified or part qualified accountant or equivalent degree.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Proficient using Excel and accounting software and purchase order systems (easyGroup uses Sage 50).
- Experience in using Salesforce, Docusign, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Loading payments for approval with online banking (easyGroup uses Coutts).
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable working in an office-based, fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working as part of a small, efficient team.
The salary will be earned based on timesheets and an agreed hourly rate for 40 hours per week. Some travel will be required and will be remunerated at a higher hourly rate, and 48 hours per week will be required. There will be a conditional bonus of one month's salary based on company and personal performance.
