About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Accounts Assistant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of a fast-moving, entrepreneurial business within a small team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in keeping financial processes running efficiently and accurately.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Processing revenue and costs invoices accurately and efficiently by matching them to purchase orders
- Managing supplier accounts, including reconciliations and query resolution and manage supplier payments
- Assist with sales ledger, including raising invoices and credit control and supporting credit control activities
- Performing daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Assisting with month-end and year-end processes
- Maintaining accurate records within accounting systems
- Supporting expense processing and internal reporting
- Helping improve processes and drive efficiencies where possible
Essential:
- Right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship
- 3 years’ experience in an accounts role
- Qualified or part qualified accountant or equivalent degree
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Proficient using Excel and accounting software and purchase order systems (easyGroup uses Sage 50)
- Experience in using Salesforce, Docusign and Microsoft Office suite
- Loading payments for approval with online banking (easyGroup uses Coutts)
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Comfortable working in an office-based, fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working as part of a small, efficient team
- The salary will be earned based on timesheets and an agreed hourly rate for 40 hours per week
- Some travel will be required and will be remunerated at a higher hourly rate and 48 hours per week will be required
- There will be a conditional bonus of one month's salary based on company and personal performance
