The ideal candidate will work as an in-house brand protection lawyer and collaborate with external lawyers for brand protection matters in different jurisdictions. The ideal candidate is both a self-motivated individual and a positive team player.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting into Stelios as chairman of easyGroup Ltd, the creator and owner of the easy family of brands.
  • Manage a legal IP brand protection budget of £2-£4m per annum.
  • Liaise closely with external lawyers and trademark attorneys.
  • Attend trials including at IPEC and High Court.
  • Give witness statements in UK court proceedings and other jurisdictions.
  • Use the Sage purchase order system to issue purchase orders to law firms.
  • Use Excel to manage purchase orders, invoices, recharges to easy licensees, payments, and receipts.
  • Use Coutts online banking to make payments and record receipts.
  • Use Salesforce to record all cases of brand thieves.
  • Use Salesforce to manage the list of IP assets including domains and trademarks.
  • Use Salesforce to manage the issuing of new brand licences and manage the current ones.
  • Manage and help to arrange corporate events for the easy family of brands.

Employment contract terms:

easyGroup’s policy is to pay its employees according to the hours actually worked per time sheets at the agreed hourly rate when working in the London office and a premium rate when travelling for work. Minimum working hours per week is 40 when in London and 48 hours per week when travelling. Employees earn more when they work longer hours. Travel plans: approximately 2.5 months per annum away from the UK in several trips of varying length. One month’s salary as a bonus conditional on corporate and personal performance.
