The Opportunity Easyfairs is looking for an Accounts Assistant to support our growth journey. The position exists to support the smooth processing and management of all employee expense costs across three countries (UK, France, Spain) as well as provide support to the Accounts Payable function and the Finance Manager. This role is full-time, hybrid and based in Twickenham 3 days per week with the flexibility to work from home 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing of employee expenses through Spendesk including reviews of pre‑approved expenses, weekly validation of claims, journal posting and payment processing, management of balances held and reconciliation of control accounts.
- Processing and management for all administration linked to starters and leavers within the system.
- Onboarding for new starters and providing training where required.
- Liaise with Helpdesk to resolve any issues arising with the Spendesk System.
- Ensure all teams and costing information is accurately updated each month to reflect staff movement.
- Management of Expenses shared Outlook folder with timely replies to requests and queries.
- Production of monthly expenses summary with confident communication to Heads of Departments.
- Supporting the AP team with the processing of vendor invoices and payments as required.

Person Profile
We are looking for a finance professional who is at the start of their career, ideally either a graduate who has completed a placement year in a relevant field or someone with around a year of practical accounting experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience while continuing your professional development and working towards qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or ACA. You should have some practical experience in accounting or finance, including exposure to financial systems and basic understanding of expense processing or accounts payable. A basic knowledge of double entry bookkeeping and reconciliations is essential. The ideal candidate is organised, reliable, and motivated to learn. You should be able to manage your time effectively, work independently when needed, and have a genuine interest in developing your skills in financial control and process improvement. Strong spreadsheet skills are preferred, though basic formula and formatting skills are essential, along with a willingness to contribute to the smooth running of the finance team. We are looking for someone conscientious and professional, who takes pride in accuracy, can maintain confidentiality, and is keen to deliver excellent support to both colleagues and stakeholders.
