Alongside DAS, Digital Finance Show (DFS) connects senior finance leaders with the technology and solutions transforming the modern finance function.
With two established UK events, the successful launch of Digital Accountancy Show USA, and plans to expand into additional international markets, this is a unique opportunity to take ownership of the commercial strategy for a rapidly growing global event portfolio.
We're looking for a senior, hands-on commercial leader who combines strategic thinking with exceptional sales ability. This player-manager role will lead an established sales team while personally managing strategic accounts, driving exhibitor growth, and developing long-term commercial partnerships across the portfolio.
As Head of Sales, you will:
- Own the commercial strategy and revenue delivery across the DAS Portfolio, including Digital Accountancy Show UK, Digital Finance Show UK and Digital Accountancy Show USA.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing sales team using a consultative, data-driven approach.
- Drive exhibitor acquisition, retention and sponsorship growth while developing long-term strategic partnerships.
- Personally manage key strategic accounts and secure high-value commercial opportunities.
- Work closely with the Portfolio Director and wider leadership team to identify new market opportunities and support the continued international growth of the portfolio.
- Act as a visible ambassador for the DAS Portfolio, building relationships with senior decision-makers, technology providers, industry bodies and strategic partners across the UK and internationally.
To be successful, you should have:
- 5–10+ years' experience in B2B sales management, ideally within exhibitions, media or technology-focused events.
- Proven experience leading successful sales teams while maintaining your own personal sales target.
- A track record of consistently exceeding revenue targets across exhibition sales, sponsorship and commercial partnerships.
- Strong new business development and key account management experience, with confidence selling to C-level executives and senior decision-makers.
- Excellent commercial judgement with the ability to translate business objectives into clear sales strategies.
- Outstanding communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- A data-driven approach to forecasting, pipeline management and territory planning.
- Experience using CRM systems to manage opportunities and performance.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally.
- A genuine interest in business technology, AI, automation and the evolving accounting and finance sectors.
Key responsibilities:
- Own revenue delivery across exhibition space, sponsorship, digital products and additional commercial opportunities.
- Develop and execute sales strategies, pricing plans and rebooking campaigns to maximise portfolio growth.
- Personally prospect, pitch and negotiate with high-value strategic accounts and enterprise-level technology providers.
- Build long-term relationships with exhibitors, sponsors, associations and strategic partners.
- Attend industry events, competitor exhibitions and client meetings to identify new commercial opportunities and market trends.
- Lead, coach and motivate the sales team through regular performance management, mentoring and ongoing development.
- Analyse market trends, competitive activity and exhibitor feedback to identify new sectors, technologies and revenue opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with Marketing, Operations and the wider event team to maximise commercial performance and exhibitor success.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management and CRM discipline across the sales team.
- Contribute to the long-term commercial growth and international expansion of the DAS Portfolio.
Success in this role:
Success will be measured through:
- Consistently exceeding revenue targets across the DAS Portfolio.
- Strong exhibitor retention and year-on-year commercial growth.
- Growth in sponsorship, content partnerships and additional revenue streams.
- A motivated, high-performing sales team consistently achieving and exceeding KPIs.
- Successful acquisition of new strategic exhibitors and industry-leading technology brands.
- Long-term partnerships that result in multi-event and multi-year investment.
- Expansion into new technology sectors and international markets, strengthening the position of the DAS Portfolio as a leading global events brand.
