Scope
Core Objective: Ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of goods and documents specified in Purchase Orders to prevent extra costs or project disruptions.
Working Model: Full-time contractor role (outside IR35) with a hybrid "Smart Working" model.
Location: Based in Kingston upon Thames, requiring occasional site or supplier visits.
Compliance: Applicants must reside in the UK with permanent UK right-to-work status.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Review & Vendor Contact: Review Purchase Orders to detect discrepancies and contact vendors to ensure correct order interpretation and acknowledgement.
- Supply Chain Monitoring: Oversee the entire supply cycle—including engineering, procurement, construction, and transport—to ensure compliance with contract dates.
- Interface & Progress Reporting: Facilitate communication between vendors and internal supply chain functions while providing reliable progress updates based on delivery criticality.
- Delay Mitigation: Identify potential causes of delay early and implement mitigation strategies for existing delays.
- Documentation & Systems: Manage shipping documentation, identify "dual use" items, and ensure SAP is punctually updated with milestone and delivery data.
- Commercial Support: Support competent functions in evaluating liquidated damages, vendor variation requests, and performance feedback.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in a similar Expeditor role.
- Previous experience working on EPCI projects, preferably within Oil & Gas or renewable energy.
- Direct experience using SAP.
- Proficiency in Office365.
- Soft Skills: Strong ability to facilitate interfaces between multiple stakeholders and manage complex technical documentation.
