Responsibilities
- Act as the company’s Qualifying Supervisor for certification schemes (e.g. NICEIC/NAPIT)
- Oversee electrical works across commercial sites including offices, retail, and industrial environments
- Carry out and/or supervise inspection, testing, and certification of installations
- Review and sign off Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs), Minor Works Certificates and Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
- Ensure compliance with BS 7671 (18th Edition) and relevant legislation
- Provide technical support and supervision to electricians on-site
- Prepare for and support external audits from certification bodies
- Ensure all testing equipment is correctly maintained and calibrated
- Identify and rectify non-compliant work
Essential Skills
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) – current
- Inspection & Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2391 / 2394 & 2395 or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within commercial electrical projects
- Strong knowledge of electrical compliance, testing, and certification
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Previous experience as a Qualifying Supervisor (NICEIC/NAPIT)
- ECS Gold Card
- Experience with large-scale commercial installations
- SSSTS or SMSTS
