In a nutshell, you’ll be working on a wide range of projects including housing, commercial and industrial developments as an Eastwood CAD Technician.
The role, based in Sheffield, will see you:
- Working on a variety of projects from single house dwellings to multi-storey steel, concrete, and timber framed structures.
- Creating General Arrangements, Structural Layouts, and Details in Steel, Concrete, Timber, and Domestic, including RC Detailing on medium to large structures.
- Using CAD to support external works and plot drainage, assisting engineers in designing large residential sites and various structures such as schools, industrial facilities, care homes, and hotels.
- Collaborating on multiple projects within a team alongside architects and engineers to develop drawings and plans for clients.
- Supporting and mentoring Trainee Technicians.
The role involves supporting engineers across civil and structural engineering disciplines.
You
We are seeking a team player with strong CAD experience in a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy. An HND/HNC in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent is preferred. You should have good CAD skills, strong communication abilities, and attention to detail. The ability to work to deadlines alongside engineers and technicians is essential.
