We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Panel shop Team Leader. You will be responsible for leading a production team of circa 6 staff. The panel shop is a key department, primarily responsible for pressing, cutting, lipping and CNC machining of doors and other products. Team motivation, organisation and communication are key skills required for this role. The holder of this position is expected to develop an in-depth understanding of the plant and products, produce output to high quality standards and ensure the team is working to a high standard of health and safety. Based in Derby.
Duties:
- Ensure the facility and panel shop equipment are maintained and in good and safe working order.
- Work in accordance with company systems and procedures.
- Work in accordance with applicable targets and production schedules.
- Delivery of panel products to a high quality to support the follow-on parts of the business.
- Attend production meetings and deliver report on status of your department to assist in wider management of product delivery.
What we are looking for:
- Panel shop experience five plus years.
- Leading a team, managing morale and motivation to ensure productivity.
- Time & workflow management, deadlines, productivity, and output.
- Staff management, including training & development.
- Quality control, checking and signing off an order before release.
- Procurement, stock control and rotation, forward planning.
- Manufacturing instruction sheets and following basic drawings.
- Responsible for the health and safety for that of themselves and others within the factory.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
What's in it for you:
