We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a dedicated and experienced Production Team Leader to oversee manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in factory settings, with hands-on experience in assembly and mechanical processes. This role requires leadership skills to manage a team effectively while ensuring production goals are met efficiently and safely. Based in Stanton By Dale.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure optimal workflow.
- Attend daily production meetings to ensure targets are achieved.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery, performing basic maintenance when required.
- Collaborate with management to identify areas for improvement in production processes and implement solutions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards at all times.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience in a manufacturing facility or factory environment is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Previous experience leading teams or working in a supervisory role is essential.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in all aspects of production work.
- Able to work days/afternoon/night shifts as and when required.
What's in it for you
- Temporary to Permanent role.
- Pay starts at £15.49 per hour (£31,400) for a day shift. Night rate is £20.76 (£42,100).
- Working Monday to Friday (Sunday - Thursday on nights).
