We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Workshop Operative. The role involves the manufacturing of hydraulic hose assemblies and other safety critical railway equipment. It is important that you have a high attention to detail and produce the product to the requested and desired finish. Based in Chesterfield, this is a temporary to permanent role.
Duties
- Carry out the planned workload
- To learn and develop all aspects of skills required on production
- Assemble customer orders with accuracy and attention to detail
- Work proactively as a member of the production team
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the workshop to ensure all staff continue to work in a safe and pleasant environment
- To always observe safe working practices
- Health and Safety adherence
What we are looking for
- Work to agreed standards in line with company policies and procedures.
- Have a flexible attitude to working arrangements.
- Some previous assembly/manufacturing/engineering experience is an advantage. However, a positive and willing approach to learn new skills is more important.
- To undertake training as required. This may include attending training courses outside your place of work.
