We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a committed Business Development Coordinator. Our client is looking to grow their team as they expand their UK distribution partnership with a key supplier. This is a brand-new role with the exciting opportunity to shape how the business identifies and builds new business opportunities across a range of industries. You'll research potential markets, generate leads, and support the sales team β helping to drive the company's growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify new business opportunities and target industries within the UK.
- Generate, qualify, and follow up on leads to create a strong sales pipeline.
- Contact potential customers to introduce our products and set up meetings.
- Support the sales department in managing leads and coordinating client communication.
- Work closely with internal teams including sales, import/export, and management.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and interactions.
- Prepare and process sales orders, invoices, quotations, and contracts.
- Maintain and update customer records in the CRM system.
- Track sales orders from initiation to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist the sales team with proposals, pricing, and product information.
- Generate regular sales reports for management.
About You
- Experience in business development, sales, or account management.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong research and analytical abilities to identify new market opportunities.
- Confident with outreach β comfortable contacting new businesses by phone and email.
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects.
- Experience with CRM/ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools (Excel experience is preferred).
- Strong administrative skills are necessary in this role.
- Understanding of import/export or distribution (an advantage, not essential).
