Company Recruitment is seeking a Contract Technician to work with a local authority based in Enfield. Working in the Environment and Communities department under the responsibility of the Director of Parks, Leisure, and Culture, this role provides Enfield with the operational capacity to manage the Council’s blue and green assets. The Parks, Open Spaces, and Cemeteries team participated in an external service review completed in March 2023. As a member of the Playground and Parks Infrastructure team, the Contract Technician will be responsible for the ongoing monitoring of works and service providers, both internal and external. The role requires managing conflicting priorities, handling third-party queries, reactive issues, and responding to emergencies as they arise. The position is highly visible to the public.
Duties include:
- Manage and monitor external contractors linked to capital projects and remedial repairs.
- Provide accurate updates on contractor performance to validate expenditure and support quality control.
- Generate reports to facilitate decision-making and performance monitoring.
- Lead all aspects of onsite repairs, ensuring compliance, quality, and safety standards are met.
