This Technical Service Representative role will support large customers and brands in the Specialty Plastics sector, focused on Central and Northern Europe.
Location: Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, UK (home office based)
Responsibilities
- Assist customers and brands with part & mold design, plastic processing, troubleshooting procedures, and material handling during polymer qualification.
- Translate customer needs into \”Critical To Quality\” parameters to guide product selection and development.
- Participate in internal and external trials to evaluate material processing.
- Stay updated on market trends, application, and processing technology developments, including competitors.
- Identify and document unmet industry and customer needs, along with product fitness criteria.
- Provide technical product training to customers, distributors, and sales & marketing teams.
- Develop technical marketing materials for customer engagement.
- Collaborate with the Product Development team to deliver market-driven, value-adding products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor\’s, PhD, or MSc in Polymer Science or Engineering; >10 years of industrial experience in plastic processing technologies.
- Proficiency in injection molding is essential; additional skills in blow molding, extrusion, thermoforming, etc., are a plus.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; additional EU languages are preferred.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
