The Position
Reporting to the E/I Supervisor you will support the site maintenance effort carrying out typical maintenance activities including:
- Responding to plant breakdowns as required to diagnose and resolve faults of an instrumentation or electrical nature.
- Installation and maintenance of 415V AC motors and associated control equipment.
- Installing, commissioning, and maintaining safety, control, and measurement systems.
- Carry out calibration and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems as per procedural documentation.
- Maintenance of hazardous area equipment inline with the DSEAR regulations.
- General electrical installation work including lighting and cable management.
The Person
- Will be committed to high standards in the safety and quality of their work.
- Will possess a time served qualification in an electrical/instrument discipline.
- Will have experience in fault finding using a systematic approach to get to root cause efficiently and effectively.
- Will have a flexible approach to changing priorities.
- Will be capable of working alone or effectively as part of a team.
- Will be able to perform critical tasks within specified time constraints and schedules.
- Will understand and correctly use the following systems:
- SAP to complete assigned maintenance, review and update equipment history
- Beamex CMX software to carry out and record instrument calibrations
- Drawing database to access, understand and update site electrical and control drawings when required
- Microsoft Office for general administrative tasks
