We are seeking an experienced Insurance Officer to lead the administration, reporting, and management of Eastlight’s insurance provisions. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our organisation is fully protected, from negotiating renewals to managing claims efficiently. You will oversee all insurance activities, ensuring we maintain adequate coverage and respond effectively to incidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Responsibilities:
- Ensure the organisation meets its legal and regulatory obligations through effective insurance management.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and subject matter experts to identify opportunities for improved insurance coverage and efficiencies.
- Drive value for money through strategic procurement of insurance policies and efficient claims management.
- Liaise with insurers, solicitors, third parties, tenants, leaseholders, and staff to ensure all claims are handled promptly and effectively.
- Support annual insurance reviews and negotiations with brokers, ensuring appropriate policies and coverage are in place across the organisation.
- Gather and analyse data for renewals, claims, and other insurance-related purposes, identifying organisational requirements.
- Manage claims and insurance risk, including preparing reports, assisting with claims, and attending meetings with insurers and brokers.
- Maintain accurate records of all insurance correspondence.
- Process insurance premium payments and support the collation and presentation of claim expenditures, including gathering invoices and raising orders.

- £34,374 per annum
- Permanent 37 hours per week
- Group stakeholder pension plan (Eastlight will double, up to 5% of the employee’s contribution - Employee 5% + Eastlight 10% = Total 15%)
