Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals with their day-to-day needs, promoting independence, dignity, and well-being.

You will provide personalised care and companionship to clients in their homes or care settings, ensuring they receive the highest standard of support.

This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, patient, and motivated to make a positive impact in the Health, Nursing & Social Care sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
  • Support with medication reminders and administration under supervision.
  • Help with meal preparation and feeding where necessary, ensuring dietary needs are met.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce social isolation.
  • Support clients with mobility and physical exercises as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided and report any concerns to the care manager.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure continuity of care.
  • Adhere to all health and safety, safeguarding, and data protection policies and procedures.
  • Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience in a care assistant role or similar preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
  • Compassionate and patient with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to undertake training and development opportunities.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles and confidentiality.
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to working hours.
  • Valid UK driving licence and own transport is an advantage but not mandatory.
