Help staff through one of the biggest changes to local government in Hampshire. We’re looking for a Senior Communications Officer to lead staff and programme communications for Local Government Reorganisation at Eastleigh Borough Council. This is a chance to use your communications skills to support real transformation.
You’ll help make complex change feel clear, calm and human. You’ll keep staff informed, support managers to brief their teams, and make sure colleagues hear trusted updates at the right time. You’ll be writing plain English updates, FAQs, briefings and manager packs. You’ll run staff Q&As, keep our LGR hub up to date, track feedback and work with HR, Legal, senior leaders and partner councils.
We’re looking for someone with strong internal comms or employee engagement experience, good judgement, and the confidence to advise senior colleagues. Change comms experience would be a real plus. You’ll need to be organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-moving programme where not every answer is known yet.
