About the role
As a Host, you will be the first and last point of contact for our guests, creating a warm, confident and memorable welcome across our premium restaurant environments. This is a role rooted in elevated, lifestyle-led hospitality, where every interaction contributes to the guest experience. You will help create a sense of arrival that feels personal, seamless and effortless while ensuring guests are cared for throughout their visit. Working closely with the Restaurant Management team and Front of House colleagues, you will support reservations, manage guest flow and ensure every guest receives exceptional service from the moment they arrive until they depart. On matchdays and major events, you will help deliver a high-volume VIP hospitality operation while maintaining the same attention to detail, professionalism and guest focus expected within our premium venues.
You will be responsible for: Guest Welcome & Experience Provide a warm, professional and engaging welcome to all guests, creating a positive first impression of the venue. Build rapport with guests while ensuring individual needs, preferences and special occasions are recognised wherever possible. Reservations & Guest Flow Support the management of reservations, seating plans, waitlists and guest communications. Assist in maintaining efficient table flow and pacing while ensuring guests are seated promptly and accurately. Matchday & Event Operations Support the delivery of premium hospitality experiences during matchdays and major events. Help manage guest arrivals, queues and wayfinding while maintaining exceptional service standards in busy environments. Standards & Presentation Maintain exceptional personal presentation and uphold the highest standards across all guest arrival and reception areas. Ensure the host stand and surrounding areas remain organised, welcoming and guest-ready at all times. Guest Communication Respond professionally to guest enquiries, requests and feedback, escalating concerns where appropriate and always seeking positive outcomes for guests.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Essential
Previous experience in a host, reception, guest services or customer-facing hospitality role
Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confident, professional and approachable manner
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to remain calm and professional in busy service environments
Flexible approach to working evenings, weekends and event days
Desirable
Experience within premium, luxury or lifestyle hospitality environments
Experience using reservations systems such as SevenRooms, OpenTable or similar
Experience within restaurant, hotel, event or stadium hospitality operations
Experience working with VIP guests and premium service environments
