We are recruiting for a 2 days per week High Level Teaching Assistant at Eastfield Academy, based in Northampton. Fixed term contract for 2026/27 academic year.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting children's learning and development, working alongside talented colleagues who are committed to helping every child be their very best. The role is 2 days per week from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, term time only. Actual days to be discussed at interview.

  • Deliver high‑quality learning activities and provide whole‑class supervision when teachers are absent.
  • Support the delivery of engaging lessons that motivate and inspire pupils.
  • Promote high expectations for learning, behaviour, and achievement.
  • Support pupils with a range of needs, including SEND, EAL, and those requiring additional challenge.
  • Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
  • Use effective behaviour management strategies to create a calm and productive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to ensure all pupils make progress.
  • Build positive and professional relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
  • Work effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team.

Salary & Benefits

NJC08: £26,824.00 FTE, £8,066.14 pro rata per annum based on 2 days per week.
