As our Customer Host, you’ll be the welcoming face of Fedcap’s Guildford office — greeting customers, setting them up at our computer stations, and ensuring everything runs smoothly day to day. No two days will be the same: one moment you’ll be helping someone register for a programme, the next you’ll be supporting colleagues, organising meeting rooms, or keeping the coffee machine spotless! You’ll make sure every visitor feels seen, supported, and valued — creating a friendly, professional environment where everyone can thrive.

What You’ll Do

  • Welcome and sign in customers and visitors, offering a professional and friendly first impression.
  • Manage the reception area and respond to first-line enquiries, directing people to the right colleagues or activities.
  • Support with general office administration and manage room bookings.
  • Share information on local events and opportunities to help customers on their journey.
  • Build rapport and engage proactively with visitors to make sure they feel comfortable and supported.

About You

  • A natural people person — confident, warm, and approachable.
  • Experience in customer service, ideally in a front-facing or busy environment.
  • Great communication and organisational skills with a calm, professional approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident using IT systems.
  • Positive, adaptable, and motivated to make a real difference.
