Health & Wellbeing Facilitator

Location: Guildford, Slough, Staines, Crawley (4 and 1 hybrid)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience

As a Health & Wellbeing Facilitator, you'll play a vital role in supporting individuals whose physical or mental health may be impacting their ability to find and sustain work. Through one-to-one support, group workshops, and collaborative working with employment teams, you'll empower people to build confidence, develop resilience, and take positive steps towards achieving their goals.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in health promotion, wellbeing support, public health, vocational rehabilitation, or a related field who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in people's lives.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of our Health & Wellbeing team, you'll:

  • Deliver personalised health and wellbeing interventions that help individuals overcome barriers to employment.
  • Conduct holistic biopsychosocial assessments and develop tailored action plans focused on wellbeing and employability outcomes.
  • Facilitate engaging workshops and group sessions covering topics such as:
    • Building Confidence
    • Managing Stress and Resilience
    • Sleep and Healthy Routines
    • Assertiveness and Communication Skills
    • Managing Interview Anxiety
    • Healthier Lifestyle Choices
  • Promote positive self-management techniques that support long-term wellbeing and independence.
  • Work closely with Employment Advisors and wider delivery teams to ensure customers receive coordinated and effective support.
  • Participate in case conferences and contribute specialist wellbeing insights to customer progression plans.
  • Build strong relationships with local healthcare providers, community organisations, employers, Jobcentre teams and other key stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who combines professional knowledge with empathy, positivity and a genuine commitment to helping people achieve their potential.

Essential Experience

  • Experience working within health promotion, wellbeing support, public health, or a related environment.
  • Experience supporting individuals with physical and/or mental health challenges.
  • Experience delivering workshops, training sessions, or group interventions both face-to-face and online.
  • Strong coaching, engagement and motivational skills.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and support individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of local health, wellbeing and community support services.
  • Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within employability, welfare-to-work, vocational rehabilitation or occupational health settings.
  • Understanding of local labour markets and employment support services.
  • Experience supporting individuals with health conditions on their journey back to work.

Qualifications

  • Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
  • British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP)
