Easterseals NH is excited to launch the brand-new Technology Hill Early Learning Center in Londonderry, NH. We are seeking a passionate, collaborative, and highly organized Associate Director to help build an exceptional early childhood program from the ground up. Under the general supervision of the Senior Director, the Associate Director is responsible for the overall management, operations, compliance, supervision, and development of assigned classrooms and age groups within the Technology Hill Early Learning Center.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, Human Services, or a related field, with at least five (5) years of experience in a licensed child development program is required OR:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, Human Services, or a related field, with at least three (3) years of experience in a licensed child development program, is preferred.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a New Hampshire Early Childhood Professional Development credential within six (6) months of hire date.
  • The ability to meet NH Child Care Licensing Unit’s requirements for ‘Center Director’ required.
  • One to three years (1-3) of experience in a supervisory or administrative role in the early childhood field, required.
  • Certified in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED required.
  • Minimum twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the assigned classrooms/age groups, including but not limited to, maintaining program census, ensuring adequate staffing coverage, staff supervision, performance management, student enrollment and discharge, etc.
  • Assist the Senior Director in recruitment, hiring, training, and coaching employees, while ensuring appropriate teacher-to-child ratios.
  • Partner with the Senior Director to assist with the development, implementation, and continuation of policies, procedures and operations that are consistent with local, state and federal regulations, NAEYC Accreditation criteria and agency requirements regarding education, health and safety of children and their environment.
  • Assist the Senior Director to ensure full enrollment of the Center, track daily census.
